This is the first season for my garden to show what has survived and will prosper. It's quite exciting to see that all but one of the trees have taken and seem healthy. It's too early this year to expect much in the way of crops of tree fruit, but I hope for raspberries aplenty and quite possibly gooseberry too. My friendly hare, Oscar, is back having disappeared for the coldest months. I have been working on improving my bird zone; different food attracts different birds and since adding more fat I have been seeing more types of small birds - finches, robin and tits included. There's a family of pheasants too.
