The khanqah is located in a particularly lovely position, less than an hour from Vilnius and Kaunas, surrounded by mixed forest and beside the delightful Sventoja river.

It is used for retreats and camps for sufism, zen and other spiritual groups and individuals. The atmosphere is considered very special and conducive to the attainment of meditational states.

The originator of the project khanqah salaam, James Burgess, has been teaching in the Baltic States since 1991 and is the representative of the Sufi Order International for this region.
