Mars in Capricorn
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Sometimes grumpy and hard, this is the champion of endurance tests, the uncompromising goat – patient, reliable, disciplined and faithful, whose strength grows as it is challenged. In and out of the bedroom, after careful thought and with extraordinary stamina, its actions are decisive, irreversible and intractable. Quite capable of cold, merciless anger, this is the most formidable long-term opponent, employing a mixture of Machiavellian strategy, commonsense and resilient doggedness to achieve its purpose no matter what resistance in encountered.

Hi James - it's Jena in Bangkok where I'm having dental treatment - quite a Capricorn thing in lots of ways maybe?

Oh I've just looked at an online ephemeris and see Mars in Aquarius so the Saturn Pluto bit of the question is the only bit that applies

Hi Jena, Bangkok is not my favourite place - but I guess it's worth the trip to get your teeth fixed. I can see how Mars Capricorn suggests the operation of teeth...biting is aggressive (Mars), using one of the hardest parts of the body (Saturn rulership of Capricorn).

I don't like Bangkok either James - in fact I'm not a city person but can get quite fond of a suburb with character. See now that the dental work happened when Saturn was exactly trine my sun which seems meaningful and hopefully guarantees good long term outcome - it's also a saving of $4000 (Capricorn again?) As dentistry in NZ isn't subsidised.

Like you I have a trine to Saturn (my moon) so find it all very comfortable, especially with a Capricorn ascendant. I do need to try in order to operate self-discipline - which is not always there - but when I do find it I am much more content. I am a person who needs to work and be responsible. When Saturn crosses my Ascendant, this Xmas, it will join Pluto in the First House as a wide conjunction. Already I have noticed people have become more wary of me since Pluto crossed, so I'm not expecting to win popularity contests for the next 20 years or so until Pluto leaves the 1st House.
